February 1st: Zero Day

The lights on the ship flickered as Tamara passed through the corridors, making her way towards the conference room. It was day zero, the day that the Arok's first pods would be dropped down to their first mission.
There was only one problem...
The pods had already been launched without her.
She clenched her jaw and approached the conference room doors.
She had been given orders to await the captain inside. Taking in a long breathe she opened the doors and stepped inside.

Kaiross was already inside, at the other end of the long conference table. He was looking at some digital charts, receiving live data from Operation: White Wedding. He was wearing casual attire, perhaps a little too casual. 2 suitcases sat on the conference room table along with a long black plastic bag.

"Operatives Jester and Alpha have splashed down commander." The AI reported. Kaiross nodded firmly.

"Have our agents in this world been contacted yet?"

"The beacons for agents White Dove and Blue Badger have been activated. Were still awaiting a response."

Kaiross sighed.

"Well, it is 1'o'clock in the morning over there. Keep me posted."

The bright red light, which was the AI, beeped in agreement before disappearing into the holographic charts.

He turned around and faced Tamara. "Evening." He greeted in a monotone.

Tamara pulled the door closed behind her and respectfully nodded,
"Evening captain"

Tamara watched as the holographics display shut down but was able to catch a few last words about the mission before the message ended. The room was quiet as she waited in anticipation for what was to happen now that part of the crew had already been dropped down for the first mission.

Dressed in a black t-shirt and cargo pants that were tucked into her boots she looked from the captain to the black plastic bag and suitcases that were too out of place NOT to notice...

He began without hesitation. "I am sure your aware that we have a mission, and that Phase 01 is well underway?" He asked looking for any sign of confusion. Not that it mattered, if she was confused or not. It was just another of his many habits. "Don't worry, you have your own part to play."

He left the suitcases on the table and picked up the long black plastic bag, and walked over to her. "As i said in earlier our conversation..." Making reference to their earlier conversation inside her quarters. "You have something that is extremely valuable to our mission. "

He zipped open the black plastic bag to reveal a stunning red dress. "Your Femininity." He finally said. Leaving it at the table in front of her.


"As you can probably tell, were going undercover. Be prepared to launch in 10 minutes. We drop as soon as Alpha and Jester set up a forward base."

Tamara tried to hide her surprise when the captain unzipped the bag to reveal a deep red satin gown.
"My.. Femininity?"
She walked up to the table as he continued to speak, occasionally making eye contact to convey that she was comprehending everything that he was telling her. She may have been dissapointed that the first mission was already under way, but considering her present situation, she was going to be joining the captain on a mission of their own...
"Plenty enough of a challenge already..." she thought to herself as she inspected the gown running her finger along the satin hem of the dress. There were also many ways of going undercover. She had plenty of questions and zipping the bag up, she gathered the dress into her arms and turned to the captain,

"I was hoping for a longer debriefing captain. Is there anything else that I should know?"

"Yes." Kaiross said stopping at the entrance to the conference room. "Bring a sidearm that's easily concealable. I'll take care of the gadgets we need. You'll receive a proper briefing once we break the cosmic barrier, and make touchdown."

With that he left the conference room quickly, and headed to the armory.
